Hyde Vale, Greenwich, South East London

Part of the West Greenwich Conservation Area, Hyde Vale curves round and down from the Blackheath escarpment to Greenwich.  "Hyde Vale rivals Crooms Hill for its architectural pretensions, with an impressive sequence of eighteenth and nineteenth century villas and town houses," says the conservation appraisal report, which also notes the street has fine examples of granite cobble gutters and single or double kerbs - a distinctive feature of the area.
