London Landmarks Half Marathon, Central London

A slickly-organised event that raises big money for charities, the London Landmarks Half Marathon criss-crosses the City and parts of Westminster before concluding in Whitehall. As well as plenty of landmarks, there are steel bands, choirs, sound systems, water stations and thousands of people cheering you on.  Finishers also get an impressively-elaborate hinged medal. The route is almost flat, but it does feel like you are running around in circles at times. A lot of fun.
